Salsa in the Square – May 13 – Cumbia

FREE dance lessons at the CHurchill Square Salsa in the Square is BACK once again for its Spring 2025 edition of latin music, dance, and community! Make sure to register yourself for a free class in learning a small portion of the most beautiful Latin dances meant to make you move and enjoy life. Thanks in major part to the Edmonton Arts Council for presenting this event in part with ETOWN SALSA. We have 5 weeks lined up for this spring with a level 1 @6pm and level 1.5 lesson @6:30pm and a social dance from 7-8pm. We have also a special live band night on our finale night June 3 with Rumba Caliente and special time from 6-9pm with a level 1 lesson in Mambo @6-6:30pm, then 6:30pm -7:30pm with Rumba Caliente, level 1.5 lesson in Mambo @7:30-8pm, then 8-9pm once again with Rumba Caliente. Etown Salsa Dance Team presents Join us for an unforgettable evening as we bring the vibrant spirit of Spain to Edmonton! Fiesta España will be a lively dance party celebrating Spanish culture, all in support of the Etown Salsa Dance Team's upcoming trip to perform at the international Flow Festival in Cádiz, Spain. Cheer the team on in their last performance before they perform at Flow Festival, then dance the night away to the best salsa and bachata tracks played by DJ Leo RL. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Dress to impress and we encourage you to incorporate some Spanish flair to your outfit! This is a fundraiser for the Etown Salsa Dance Team members.
